Why the timing is what it is.
The schedule is not arbitrary and it is not a marketing document. It is built around when children are actually vulnerable.
Timed to real risk. Each dose lands just before the age at which that illness does the most damage. Pertussis is dangerous to infants; the doses start at two months for that reason.
Tested together, not alone. Every combination on this schedule has been studied as a combination. Spreading doses out has not been.
Delay has a cost. A delayed schedule leaves a window where your child is old enough to be exposed and not yet protected. We will talk it through, but we will be honest about that.
Records and school forms.
Every dose we give is filed to the Nevada state registry the same day, so schools and camps can verify it without you chasing us.
School and camp forms. Bring the form to any visit, or drop it at the front desk. Most are completed the same day; allow two business days in August.
Your own copy. Ask at the front desk or download the immunization record from the patient portal at any time.
Transferring in. Send us the record from your previous practice before the first visit so we are not repeating doses or guessing.

Due for a catch-up?
If your child has fallen behind, there is a catch-up schedule and it works. Book a nurse visit and we will map it out.
WHERE WE STAND
As medical professionals, we feel very strongly that vaccinating children on schedule with currently available vaccines is absolutely the right thing to do for all children and young adults.

Common questions
Can we spread them out?
We will talk about it, and for a few families we do adjust. But an alternative schedule is a trade: fewer needles per visit, more visits, and a longer window where your child is unprotected.
Is there a link to autism?
No. The original claim came from a 1998 paper that was retracted, and the author lost his licence. It has been examined in studies covering millions of children since, and nothing has been found.
What about the ingredients?
We will go through any specific ingredient you are worried about with you. Most of the alarming-sounding ones are present in quantities smaller than what is already in your child’s food.
My child is sick that week
A mild cold, a low fever, or a course of antibiotics is not a reason to postpone. A significant illness is — call and we will move the appointment.
